Welcome to the web site of Julian Dyke.

I am an independent database consultant specialising in Oracle performance tuning. I am based in England and generally work for clients in the UK and Europe. I work for a number of customers, specialising in short term assignments from one day to around two weeks and consequently I am usually available at short notice.

I am a regular presenter at conferences and seminars in the UK, Europe and USA. A number of my recent presentations can be downloaded from this site.

In December 2008 I became a director of the UK Oracle User Group. Prior to this I was Chair of the UKOUG RAC and HA Special Interest Group (UKOUG RAC & HA SIG) for five years. This group currently meets three times a year in London, the Thames Valley and the Midlands.

I am a co-author with Steve Shaw of Intel Corporation of Pro Oracle Database 10g RAC on Linux which was published in August 2006 by Apress.
